This was a Christmas commercial made for Statesman Beverage Co for their spiced simple syrup typically used in making old fashioned cocktails. The mission of Statesman is to create a product that allows average individuals to create high quality cocktails typically served in restaurants and bars in the comfort of their home with very little effort.
This video was shot from the perspective of a someone making the cocktail and slowed to show the elegance of creating a cocktail with this syrup. The music and sound design were chosen to create a peaceful but luxurious environment. The choice of the piano was meant to mimic the sound of a cocktail bar while the crackling sound of the fire emphasizes the comfort of home.
The video was kept intentionally short to show how quick it is to make a drink using Statesman’s syrup.
